The 26th EURETINA Congress 2026 is the world’s largest retina‑focused scientific meeting, taking place 1–4 October 2026 at VIECON – Vienna Congress & Convention Center, Vienna, Austria. It is organized by the European Society of Retina Specialists, founded in 1999 to advance retinal research, education, and clinical practice.
The congress offers a hybrid format, providing both in‑person and livestream access with on‑demand viewing afterwards. The scientific programme features expert‑led symposia, instructional courses, late‑breaking clinical trial sessions, wet labs, poster and free‑paper forums, and keynote lectures covering innovations in retinal diseases, imaging, vitreoretinal surgery, AI applications, and emerging therapies.
New for 2026 is World Retina @ EURETINA, a four‑day global networking and scientific exchange platform, reflecting the congress’s increasingly international reach with participants from more than 140 nationalities. The meeting also hosts the Euretina Innovation Spotlight (EIS) on 30 September 2026, fostering collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and industry.
With its comprehensive programme, global faculty, and strong emphasis on innovation and education, EURETINA 2026 stands as a premier event shaping the future of retinal science and patient care.
